The Hans Christian Andersen Theatre in Lublin is a place where traditional puppet theatre blends harmoniously with modern acting and multimedia. In its space, the magic of the stage intertwines with everyday life, stimulating the imagination and provoking reflection in both the youngest and adult members of the audience. The history of the theatre dates back to 1954, when Maryla Kędra, a cultural animator and pioneer of Lublin's puppet theatre, staged the first performance on the stage in Klonowica Street. From the beginning, the theatre has focused on a high artistic standard, drawing on valuable literary texts and engaging talented artists. Today, it is one of the most important cultural institutions in the region, combining a rich history with a modern outlook on art for children and young people. Its mission is not only to arouse aesthetic sensitivity but also to inspire questions and help discover the world through theatre.
