In the years 1834-1850 the house belonged to the Wieniawski Family. This is where a violin virtuoso and a great composer Henryk Wieniawski (1838-1880) was born, as well as his two brothers – Julian (a writer) and Józef (a pianist and composer).Currently the building houses a seat of the Henryk Wieniawski Music Society.
It's also here that Ignacy Baranowski (1833-1919) was born. He was a doctor of medicine, social activist and philanthropist, professor of Warsaw University, and a prototype to the noble character of the Doctor in Bolesław Prus' novel „Anielka”. He donated his precious book collection to the H. Łopaciński's Public Library.
